Ansaldobreda SpA

The company was incorporated under this name in 2001 from two businesses, established more than a century ago, which have written railway history and in many countries throughout the world. Giovanni Ansaldo set up the company that bore his name in Genoa in 1853 and a year later the first italian steam locomotive left the workshops. The other company was italian 'Ing. Ernesto Breda' established in 1886 in Milan, that in 1907 delivered the thousandth locomotive. The glorious past make these two brands recognizable in may countries, so they became two perfectly complementary business
